1. Introduction to Chengdu University
Chengdu University is a comprehensive university jointly established by Sichuan Province and Chengdu City and is a key construction university in Chengdu province. It is a characteristic university featuring national defense education by the Ministry of Education and a doctoral degree authorized construction unit of Sichuan Province.
Chengdu University is selected into “2011 Plan”, “Sichuan Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program”, “Sichuan Excellent Teacher Education and Training Program”, “Sichuan Province Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform Model University”, the Sino-Russian “Yangtze River-Volga River” University Alliance, “Chengdu International Sister City University Alliance”, “CDIO Project Member Units of the Education Alliance”.
As of March 2021, Chengdu University covers an area of 2,946 mu, with a building area of 738,300 square meters, a total value of 256 million yuan in teaching and research equipment, and a total of more than 2,266,800 paper books in the library; there are 14 secondary schools; as of March 2021, the school has opened 62 undergraduate majors; it has 2 first-level discipline master programs, 9 second-level discipline master programs, 7 professional master’s degree authorization categories, and 15 professional master’s degree authorization fields; Chengdu University currently has nearly 1,500 full-time teachers, including more than 200 with senior professional titles, more than 500 associate professors, and more than 700 doctors. There are more than 24,000 full-time students, including 1,394 graduate students and 694 international students.
2. Majors of Chengdu University

3. Foreign teachers and students of Chengdu University celebrate the New Year
On the afternoon of February 28, 2021, international students, foreign experts and their families from Chengdu University participated in the “2021 Bullish Spring Festival Joy Party”. The event was hosted by Chengdu Foreign Cultural Exchange Center. Four activities were set up at the event site: live lion dance performance, drumming and passing flowers game, traditional pot-throwing and looping game, and writing “Fu” (means auspiciousness in Chinese). Foreign teachers and students watched lion dance performances, experienced traditional Chinese folk activities, and celebrated the traditional Chinese New Year together.
